The CyberOne Hightech Award Baden-Württemberg is the annual central business plan competition for high-tech start-ups in the state. The objectives of this competition include the further development and sharpening of the participants’ business plans and easier access to potential investors.
The most well thought-out business plans are awarded prizes in three categories:
- Industry focus on ICT (information and communication technology),
- media and creative industries
- industry focus on Life Science & Health Care, and
- Industry focus on industrial technologies, in which we were represented by Q.big 3D
This year 131 business plans were submitted. A new record! Afterwards, the business plans submitted were analysed and evaluated by a jury of experts consisting of high-ranking representatives from companies, politics and science. The 9 founding teams with the best business plans were given the opportunity to participate in an entrepreneurial school in Maurach Castle on Lake Constance.
Coaches and experts from bwcon and the Henri B. Meier Unternehmerschule of the University of St. Gallen supported the founders in the preparation for the final pitches in front of the jury.
On 23 September 2019, the awards were presented at the Hightech Summit 2019, a technology congress with representatives from the high-tech sector. Here Q.big 3D achieved the 2nd place in the field of industrial technologies.
The award was given to “concepts with a pronounced degree of innovation that have the potential to set new standards and revolutionize markets”.
